Associate Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Reporting to the regional Practice Director this role will require you to

· Allocate resources between teams and your own to meet timeframes and budgets.

· Develop business, maintaining and continually improving client relationships,

· Ensuring all company management systems and policies in place and within your control are being followed,

· Ensuring the operation/maintenance of all equipment, including vehicles, in your control

· Prepare annual budgets with the Practice Director

· Monitor and report any deviations form forecast budgets regularly through the course of the financial year.

· Provided technical supervision and mentoring to junior engineers.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Geotechnical Engineer to join our Brisbane West (Darra) and Sunshine Coast (Caloundra) office. This is a full-time role with excellent career progression opportunities.

Our team comprises a professional blend of structural, civil, environmental and earth science professionals supporting clients state and interstate wide. We work closely with our laboratory and drilling businesses delivering high-quality geotechnical inputs to projects from the feasibility/planning to the construction stage. We support a diverse range of mining, infrastructure and water supply clients.

 

 

Required Skills

To be successful in the role, you will have the following:

· Have unrestricted permanent work rights in Australia (Australian Citizen or permanent resident).

· A civil or earth sciences degree with elective courses in engineering geotechnical engineering. · Proven consulting experience in design and construction site investigations.

· Be eligible for registration as a professional engineering of Queensland RPEQ (civil or geotechnical)

· An ability to recruitment needs and identify staff training and development requirements.

· Well-developed and diverse understanding and knowledge of geotechnics with a proven background specifying, procuring, managing, and reporting geotechnical site investigations, including hands-on field experience.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· An ability and desire to travel regionally.

· You will also need to hold an unrestricted Australian driver’s license.
