CMT Technician/Senior Soil Technician

About the role

As a Soil / Laboratory Technician we will require you to undertake both field and laboratory testing across a broad range of methods, including but not limited to Australian Standards (AS1289, AS3798 AS1012), QDOT, RMS and ASTM.
Laboratory testing at the required production level, undertaking training in test methods and be able to follow procedures directed by the Senior Technicians team
Preparing worksheets checking measurements and calculations of test results of other technicians
You will be required to learn the internal Protest Software Maxtrix (PSM)
Maintaining Equipment cleaning & testing equipment while keeping work area tidy
Liaising with Internal staff and clients

Required Skills

You will be self-motivated, a fast learner and bring a positive attitude to the team.

We are ideally looking for experienced technicians who possess:

Good knowledge (Outlook, Word and Excel) – Microsoft office Suite
Minimum 3 years relevant experience
Ability to work flexible hours
The ability to travel for work when required
Have strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure, show initiative, priority, and schedule work
Team player while ability to work unsupervised
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour-intensive role which includes heavy lifting

Qualifications

Open current driver’s licence
Cert III or Cert IV in Construction Materials Testing or willing to obtain (Highly advantageous)
Holds a current NDM radiation license or willing to obtain (Highly advantageous)
